Julia Tiseo and I decorated a fall and Thanksgiving and fall themed window display on the first floor of the Human Ecology building for our Fashion Promotion class!
Final Project Outcome
This final window display was showcased in SUNY Oneonta's Human Ecology Building on the first floor for the fall season!
What I did
Julia and I looked up Thanksgiving and fall-themed aesthetics on Pinterest and each went home and gathered supplies for accessories and clothing for the dress forms. We brainstormed a setting for the dress forms and decided to go out and buy supplies for the background. We dressed the dress forms in cute Thanksgiving and fall-themed attire and created a fall wonderland. We had a warm tone to our window display with fake fall leaves, red/yellow balloons, red/orange/yellow streamers as well as pumpkins that Julia drew.
What I learned
I visualized the window display in the Human Ecology building as a practice run for a boutique or a local store on Main Street. I learned a lot about making an aesthetically pleasing yet intriguing setting to make consumers want to learn more about the products. I think it's important to discuss different styles with others to get a different perspective and to be intrigued. Intriguing the consumer with the style of the clothes as well as decorating the setting so the consumer wants to come into the store and browse.
