I had the opportunity to work on the window display with a classmate, Erleen Rosso. We had a dark color theme, which was dark red since that color have been trending for this year fall season.
Final Project Outcome
This was my creation and it was displayed our local thrift store, Shakedown Street.
What I did
I had the chance to create a window display at my local thrift shop, and it was such an enjoyable experience! I got to sift through unique vintage finds and carefully curate a theme that would catch people's attention as they walked by. The process felt creative and rewarding, especially when I saw the final result—a nice and inviting setup that reflected the store’s charm. Since I had a friend working there, she would told me that customers would compliment the display and ir made it even more special, and I felt proud to contribute to a community space I love. It was a fun way to combine my creativity with my passion for fashion.
What I learned
Through creating the window display, I learned the importance of planning, organization, and visual storytelling. I gained experience in designing eye-catching arrangements and selecting pieces that worked well together, which strengthened my creativity and attention to detail. These skills will help me in the future by enhancing my ability to present ideas effectively, whether in marketing, retail, or other creative projects. It also showed me how small efforts can make a big impact in drawing people in and creating positive experiences.
