I completed research Fall 2025 with my professor by collecting data and interviewing farmers about farmers perspective on pesticide use in NY. I then presented my findings at a conference at Montclair State University, New Jersey.
Final Project Outcome
This research poster was at the Montclair State University, New Jersey and my findings were reviewed by my supervisor.
What I did
I spoke with farmers to get their opinions on pesticide use, met and interacted with other students at the conference and did some networking. I also attended a few very helpful sessions that gave me insight on the different types of career paths out there.
What I learned
I learned that while at the conference and interacting with other presenters that these students are very passionate about their topics and want to be heard and for people to be aware about them. This conference was definitely a good way for students to show their findings. It was kind of preparing us for the real world.
What’s next for me
I will finish up my education while in my last semester and thinking about getting my masters degree in either biology or geography and to continue doing what I love.
