What I did

I worked with a partner to create a themed window display for Shakedown Street, a local thrift shop. Our theme, "Rich Layers of Fall" combined fall colors and textures with vintage and modern styles. I helped pick out clothing and decor from the shop’s inventory, styled mannequins, and arranged the display to make it visually interesting. We also worked together to solve challenges, like balancing the layout and making sure everything fit our theme.

What I learned

Through this project, I learned how to combine creative design with practical retail strategies to create a visually appealing window display. Working with a partner, I gained hands-on experience in selecting, styling, and arranging clothing and decor to match a specific theme while considering the store's brand. This project also taught me how to problem-solve when faced with layout challenges and how to make a display both eye-catching and functional. This experience will be valuable in my future career as a fashion merchandising professional, where visual presentation plays a key role in driving customer interest and sales.
