Erleen Rosso: study abroad/ internship in italy

I had the incredible opportunity to intern and study abroad in Florence, Italy, during the winter term at FUA (Florence University of the Arts). I interned at FLY (Fashion Love You), a vintage store that offers handcrafted clothing and unique objects to the public.

Final Project Outcome

This window display, featured at FLY (Fashion Loves You) in Florence, Italy, is titled "Old Money." I created this window display alongside Ciara Fajardo, creating a classy yet edgy display that embodies the luxury and sophistication of the store's offerings while incorporating a hint of old-fashioned elegance. The display captures the essence of timeless style, blending vintage charm with a modern twist, and it was a success, captivating the eyes of many. This display brought more than 1,000 in revenue

My responsibilities included creating a window display for the store, organizing the sales floor, designing digital marketing posts, serving as the creative director and editor for videos featured on the store's Instagram page, and selecting and pricing clothing to place on the floor.

What I learned

As I reflect on my experience, I am proud to say that I fully immersed myself in Italian culture, from the food and music to traveling across many diverse cities. Studying abroad has truly opened my eyes to the vastness of the world and the importance of exploring it with passion and curiosity. This journey has inspired me to seek new opportunities and strive toward my fullest potential. With determination to shape my path, I will continue to be a lifelong learner, always open to growth and discovery.
