About me

I hold an interdisciplinary studies degree at SUNY Oneonta, with interests spanning museum studies, African American history, business, hospitality, tourism, and cultural heritage. I have extensive experience as a tour guide, including work connected to museums and historic sites, and I am passionate about using storytelling to connect people with history and culture.

My academic and professional interests center on museums, public history, African and African American heritage, cultural tourism, and exhibition development. I have worked on projects involving Kente, musical instruments, African history, and museum interpretation and hope to continue my education with a PhD after completing my current studies and OPT.

Finally, I also have an entrepreneurial side, with interests in tourism and travel, particularly creating culturally meaningful experiences that highlight African heritage.

Why I serve

I heard of it through recommendation, and I acknowledged the opportunity it offers students to impact the campus community.
