About me
Hi! My name is Kelly, and I am an international student from Uganda. I'm a senior majoring in Dietetics with double minors in Chemistry and Biology. I enjoy crocheting and the outdoors, specifically taking nature walks. My short-term goal is to apply to and attend graduate programs in food science. A fun fact about me is that I've crossed the equator four times in a day.
Why I serve
I am passionate about sustainable food systems, especially building accessible food networks, promoting local eating, and upcycling food waste. The program through the Office of Sustainability gives me a platform to drive meaningful change in food equity and access on campus and in the broader Oneonta community. It also allows me to explore how food waste on this campus can be used/converted into valuable by-products. I am particularly excited to work with the on-campus food pantry in these efforts.
