About me

My name is Jaiden Schrag, and I am a junior majoring in Exercise Science. After graduation, I hope to attend graduate school and pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I am also a member of the Women’s Track and Field team and club soccer team here at SUNY Oneonta!

A few fun facts about me are that I love hiking, spending time with my friends, and, most importantly, I LOVE dogs! I have a 4 year old Pitbull/Lab mix who is definitely one of my favorite companions. 🙂 I’m always up for trying new things, exploring new places, and making new memories!

Why I serve

I was inspired to apply because I really enjoy being someone others can turn to with any questions or even simply as a resource when they need help. From my own experience, I know that starting college can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not always sure who to go to or where to find the right resources. That’s why I think this role is so important, because it helps give students someone they can feel comfortable reaching out to, whether they have a question or just need a little encouragement to stay on track. I’m excited to take on this role as a Major Connection Coach and look forward to building connections, supporting students, and helping make their college experience a little easier!

Fun Fact

A fun fact about me is that this past October, I traveled to Cuba with a few other students and faculty from SUNY Oneonta to present a research study we had been working on. We spent 10 days in Cuba, immersing ourselves in their unique culture and really experiencing their day-to-day lives. It was an incredible experience and definitely one of the best trips I’ve ever taken!
