About me
Hello! I am in my senior year here at SUNY Oneonta, but in a dramatic twist of plans (and a sudden change of major), I feel lucky to say that I will be here for a full, extra year. I moved from professional accounting to adolescent education and English — a switch so drastic that one may suffer whiplash, but I otherwise have only positive things to say about my new path!
Outside of classes and work, you might see me fulfilling my presidential duties as the head of OnMark, Oneonta's marketing club. I had originally joined as a freshman, back when my major aligned more closely with the club's activities, but I have grown to relish the marketing community, so I decided to stick around… and our yearly trip to New Orleans definitely had zero influence over my decision.

Why I serve
Nothing makes me feel more connected with others than kindness. Being able to provide a sense of community and see the positive impact of my work on society is, for me, a means of giving back and spreading that kindness; it's an opportunity to share the sense of belonging that I cherish so dearly. I'm very grateful for the Empire Service Corps and their role in cultivating a better community for me and my peers to share in.
