About me

Hi, my name is Jenabou, and I am a junior at SUNY Oneonta studying Fashion/Textiles and Business. I’m from the city, specifically the Bronx, and I love experiencing new things. My favorite thing to do is travel, and I’ve been to 6 out of the 7 continents! I’m really into anything artsy or creative. I love to paint, build things, and basically just create anything I can get my hands on. I’m always down to try something new, and see where an experience takes me, so I’m really excited to get started and see what this experience has in store!

Why I serve

Community is really important to me, so finding an opportunity that involves giving back and being part of a community is what initially drew me to the Empire State Service Corps. I also love doing new things and putting myself in different environments, so this opportunity seemed like something that would be both meaningful and fun for me. I’m excited to meet new people that I might have never crossed paths with otherwise. I think that’s one of the best things about opportunities like this, the connections you make that you never expected to happen.
