About me

Hello! My name is Elanah, and I am a senior Dietetics student at SUNY Oneonta. I enjoy connecting with others, trying new experiences, and helping people feel supported. In my free time, I love being outdoors, exploring nature, staying active, and trying different cuisines with my friends. After graduation, I hope to pursue a career as either a registered dietitian or a medical imaging professional. I have really enjoyed my time at SUNY Oneonta, and I am excited to support other students as they find their place here!

Why I serve

One of my friends, who is also a member, introduced me to the Empire State Service Corps. After learning more about the program, I knew I wanted to be involved. I was offered a position helping fellow dietetics students, which made the opportunity feel like a perfect fit. Dietetics can be challenging and overwhelming, and it is easy for students to feel like they are falling behind. The chance to support younger students as they navigate the program was something I was excited to take on.

I have a 12-year-old Lhasa Apso! He is the best.
