About me
Hi, my name is Joeleen! I'm currently a Junior at SUNY Oneonta, majoring in Early Childhood Education. I’ve always been passionate about working with young learners, and when I'm on breaks, I love getting hands-on experience by substitute teaching in my home district. When I’m not in the classroom, you can usually find me outdoors on my small hobby farm in the Catskills or hiking the many trails around my home.
Why I serve
I was inspired to work for the Empire State Service Corps because I have always had a passion for inspiring the next generation of learners. I want to provide my community with support that directly helps students who may be struggling. Throughout my time with the service corps, I look forward to gaining hands-on skills and growing as an educator while leaving a positive impact on young learners.
