About me
I am Maame foriwaah a 19 year-old sophomore majoring in biology who is passionate about education, personal growth, and making a positive impact on others. My family and faith in God are important foundations in my life, guiding my values, decisions, and goals. I value hard work, perseverance, and continuous learning, and I strive to use my education and experiences to build a meaningful future while making my family proud.
Why I serve
I was inspired to apply to the Empire State Service Corps program because I want to make a meaningful difference in my community while gaining valuable experience and developing skills that will help me grow personally and professionally. I believe that service is a great way to connect with others, learn from different experiences, and contribute to positive change. The opportunity to serve through this program stood out to me because it would allow me to give back while becoming a stronger leader, building relationships, and learning more about the needs of my community. I am excited about the chance to challenge myself, grow through new experiences, and make a positive impact through my service.
