About me

I’m currently a college student who loves staying busy, trying new things, and being around people. I’m a hardworking, dependable, and outgoing person who enjoys being part of a team and helping others. Outside of school, I love playing soccer, spending time with my friends and family, traveling, and being outdoors. I especially enjoy going to the beach, taking pictures, and exploring new places. I recently had the opportunity to travel to Iceland, which was one of my favorite experiences because I got to experience a different culture and see so many amazing places. Through school, volunteering, and my other experiences, I’ve developed strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. I’m always willing to learn, take on new responsibilities, and step outside of my comfort zone, and I’m excited for opportunities where I can meet new people, contribute to a team, and gain new experiences.

Why I serve

I was inspired to apply to the Empire State Service Corps program because I have always enjoyed helping others and being involved in my community. Growing up, I was involved in Girl Scouts and other volunteer opportunities, which taught me the importance of giving back and making a positive impact on the people around me. In college, I have continued looking for ways to get involved and support others, and I’ve realized how meaningful service can be. I’m excited about the opportunity to use my time and skills to make a difference while also learning from new experiences and the people I serve. I see the Empire State Service Corps as a chance to grow personally and professionally while becoming more connected to my community and making a lasting impact.

Fun Fact

A fun fact about me is that I’m always the person who wants to stop and take a picture of something, even if everyone else has already walked ahead! I love collecting little memories from places I’ve been and experiences I’ve had. I also have a habit of keeping random souvenirs and small things from trips because I like having something to look back on later.
